We'll write your current accountant

Our team will write to your previous advisors to notify them of the change, agree the handover of work and to request any information needed for us to take over your affairs. We typically receive a response to our information request within 1-2 weeks.

Complete the onboarding process

In the meantime we'll help you get set up on the TaxBoxx App and complete the onboarding process. You'll have access to unlimited advice at this stage to ensure you have the support you need. We'll also request to be formally appointed as your tax agent with HMRC.

We're always on hand to answer your questions and to guide you in the right direction. We'll tell you what expenses you can claim for, what you can do to reduce your tax bills, how much money you're making and so much more.

Tax Registrations

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a face-to-face meeting?

In short, yes, but we like to try other ways of communicating first.

We believe most conversations can be held via the TaxBoxx App, email, phone and web meetings (think Zoom). We’ve done it successfully for years and have discussed pretty much every topic you can think of this way.

Communicating remotely has a few major benefits such as; being able to have a conversation quicker, saving travel time getting to and from a meeting destination, and having all your resources available to hand (such as your computer and paperwork).

We do however understand the value that face-to-face meetings offer, so if we’ve tried other communications methods and you’d still like a face-to-face meeting, we’d be happy to meet you in-person!

What does the onboarding process look like?

The first step is for our team to arrange a call with you. During this call we’ll gather the information needed to carry out our identity checks and deliver our service. We’ll also help you get the TaxBoxx app set up on your mobile phone.

Once you’re in the TaxBoxx app we’ll need you to upload two forms of ID, as well as approve our letter of engagement. Our letter of engagement will detail the services to be carried out, our fees, and also our general terms of business.

Finally, we’ll need you to complete our online form to set up a direct debit that allows us to collect our monthly fees.

You’ll have direct access to our team who are ready to help throughout this entire process.

Can I talk to you outside of office hours?

Of course! We offer calls and web meetings outside of office hours on an appointment basis. To arrange an out-of-hours appointment please send us a message using the form on this page.

Will I be tied into a contract?

Absolutely not. We have no intention of trying to keep clients that no longer require our service. You can leave anytime (we hope that you don’t!). All we ask is for 30 days notice so we can wrap-up anything outstanding and prepare your handover paperwork.
