After working in accounting firms of all sizes, Adam (our co-founder) was left disappointed with how little support accountants offered their clients. Adam leaves the small business team of a Big 4 firm and begins our journey by offering a monthly fixed fee service to local businesses.
To stay true to our mission of making life easier for small businesses, we wanted to take full control of the client experience. We needed an easy, quick and accessible way for our expanding client base to receive advice and manage all things tax. Our team starts to design and develop the TaxBoxx App from scratch based on the feedback received from our existing clients.
Our app becomes available for download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for the first time. Our clients start using the app to receive direct support from their accountant, upload and approve documents, send us their expenses and give us access to their bank statements. We collect feedback and improve the client experience on an ongoing basis.
We open up our service to be delivered to small businesses and the self-employed across the whole of the UK. We launch our new website and the Start-up Support Program. We continue to improve our service and our app by listening to client feedback, and we're excited for what happens next!
